OffShoot win National Shield We are proud to announce that OffShoot Photography Society has won the overall award, the National Shield for Best Club, at the IPF 2009 National Shield. The club placed 1st in the colour panel category and 4th in the monochrome panel category. Well done to everyone who had images in the panels (click the images below to view large panel of images and the photographers).  |

Congrats Congratulations to the colour category winners: Dublin Camera Club (2nd) and Clondalkin Camera Club (3rd); and the monochrome winners: Celbridge Camera Club (1st), Midlands Photography Club (joint 2nd), Drogheda Photoraphic Club (joint 2nd), and Malahide Camera Club (3rd). Thanks We would like to extend a huge thanks to all members who submitted images for consideration, and the selection committee; Ian Murphy (external competition sectretary), Fran Byrne, Matthew Roche and John O'Connor; who did a fine job of choosing and assembling the final panels. Judging and Result Links The National Shield The National Shield is a novice level national camera club competion run by the Irish Photography Federation (IPF). Each year clubs from across Ireland submit panels of images in the colour and monochrome categories. This year twenty two clubs competed showing work of a very high standard across the board.
