On Saturday 11th October Offshoot members went to D-Light Studios for an exclusive photo-shoot of aerial acrobatics by Paperdolls performance group. Aerial Acrobatics, also known as aerial dance, has it’s traditions in circus but is now a diverse contemporary art form which employs apparatus such as trapeze, rope, silks and aerial hoop for acrobatic and dance movement in the air.
There were five displays set up for us and we split up into groups to take turns at each. They put on spectacular performances for us and we are very grateful to them for giving us this opportunity.
We were amazed by their strength, agility and willingness to “hold that pose and smile!”
