On a cold and sometimes wet weekend in Antrim, 7 intrepid Offshooters had a great time around this magnificent coast.
They travelled the unique stretch of the Bregagh Road near Armoy in County Antrim that has been named locally as ‘The Dark Hedges’ (the Beech trees guarding the lane have reached up and across to each other, becoming heavily intertwined to create an impressive sight) and also visited ‘The Giant’s Causeway’ which is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns which are the result of an ancient volcanic eruption.
