On the 10th June ten of the members went out to the Greater Saltee Island of Kilmore Quay in County Wexford to get pictures of the sea birds.
Some of the members headed up on the 9th June to take pictures of the Hook Lighthouse. Unfortunately the weather was never on for this to be a possibility and a sociable drink in the local in Carrig-on-Bannow was the order of the day instead.
On the Saturday morning the weather was not much better and we wondered if we would make it out to the Island. We decided to head down to Kilmore Quay and make a decision there.
On arrival still not sure we decided to head out anyway. On the island the weather was grey and windy but fortunately not raining.
As the day progressed it cleared and by the time we left it was quite sunny and a number of our crew came away with sunburn.
