The chapel area of the Royal Hospital is due to close for restoration. Built in 1680 at the command of King Charles II, this is the oldest classical building in Ireland and is based on Les Invalides in Paris.
On Tuesday 15th May, 18 members gathered, cameras in hand, to visit this magnificent building and gardens before the work commences and, as usual, we got some great images and enjoyed the pleasure of each other’s company.
