On Monday 24th September we left Dublin at 4.30am. It was an icy cold and crisp morning as we arrived to find the Castle gates locked and after some scouting happened upon a pre-flight briefing in the local hotel as to flight plans, maps, weather, hazards etc.
It was most informative and made the experience all the more interesting. It was great to see Hot Air Balloons up close and personal and it was really exciting to watch the whole process leading up to them taking flight. Well worth the early start.
