Only two of us arrived in the beautiful historic village of Inistioge. We basked in the sunshine, enjoying freshly baked scones on the banks of the river Nore with the fabulous 10 arched bridge in the background. We rambled on to Woodstock gardens and were taken aback with the grandeur of the two stunning avenues of Monkey Puzzle and Noble Fir trees. There was so much to see – the arboretum, walled garden, terraced garden, yew walk and rose garden. We then enjoyed refreshments in the Tea House in the stunning cast iron conservatory, a very memorable visit was had.
