On Tuesday 13th July twelve OffShoot members arrived at Malahide Castle on a very mild but dull morning.
First stop was the Butterfly House where we spent a long time photographing some of the huge variety of exotic species of butterflies present. Eventually we discovered a few caterpillars too!
By now the sun was shining and our next stop was the castle gardens and grounds from which we were able to photograph the magnificent castle building from the outside.
A visit to the interior of this 800 year old medieval Malahide Castle must await another visit.
We finished off a most enjoyable morning with a cup of coffee in the Castle grounds.
