We gathered in the visitor centre cafe and were lucky enough to have a briefing from one of the staff regarding the different options available to us …… be it wildlife photography from one of the hides, or visiting the sculpture park with its well known (and well photographed) skytrain, or simply following one of the many walking trails through the varied landscape.
On the day, there was also the opportunity to photograph some action from the ‘Dogs in the Bog’ event held in one section of the Park.
With all this information onboard, we set out in small groups to explore and photograph our own particular interests.
At approx 1pm we regrouped in the ‘Organic Kitchen’ cafe for a welcome tea/coffee and chat. All members were happy with the mornings photography, including the chance to enjoy some pleasant autumn weather in a beautiful location.
This is our second trip to Lough Boora this year, following a very successful astro night shoot in April. No doubt we will return again in the future.
