Club Outing – Autumn Colours
The landscape of Devils Glen was fashioned at the end of the Ice Age when the melt waters of the ice sheet created the valley. The area has a mixture of broad leaf and conifer forest with areas of beech, Spanish chestnut and ash. The rock face of the gorge has been colonised by various species of plant life, lichens, mosses and ferns.
There are two car parks, the first is small and only fits a few cars after this is the larger one where we’ll meet.
We’ll meet at Devil’s Glen Carpark at 10 am.
