Six of us gathered under uncertain skies with a strong breeze ruffling the lake and amongst hordes of sightseers in one of the jewels of Ireland. Glendalough is always a joy for sad eyes. Butterflies eluded us but, as ever, we enjoyed a stroll to the Reefert Church and thence to the Poulanass waterfall before we meandered back to the car park.
