On Saturday 12th June 7 club members arrived at Altamount Gardens, the weather was somewhat overcast but happily lifted throughout the day. The gardens were beautiful with an array of wonderful flowers and trees. We enjoyed a picturesque walk around the lake which was covered with lilypads. We had our lunch there in a delightful outdoor cafe before heading over to Duckett’s Grove.
The Grove had a fabulous walled garden with bright and vivid coloured flowers. The Gothic Revival style ruin was a very impressive building surrounded by fields of barley, swishing and swaying in the warm breeze. We all thoroughly enjoyed the outing.
