On Tuesday 21st February 10 Club members gathered at the Oscar Wilde Statue in Merrion Square Park at 11am.
The theme for the day was Georgian and the members were challenged to find articles that were remnants of that era e.g. doors, boot scrapers, bells and signs.
In addition, street photography was urged in order to capture unusual activities, workers etc.
The group split up at 11.10 to go exploring and it was planned to meet up for lunch / coffee at 1pm.
The weather was beautiful, with full sunshine and warm spring freshness. Some trees in the Park had full Apple blossom in bloom and there were daffodils and crocuses on view.
The meeting place was Nero’s Coffee Shop on Baggot Street and there we met and discussed our discoveries of the day.
All-in-all, a wonderful day out.
