Well, the (not so) intrepid seven were driven north with some degree of trepidation and dread! We had a driver who spent much of the outbound trip regaling his (captive) audience with tales of terror and protest, of oppression and unrest.
Anyway, we braved the border and survived! The weather was terrific for the whole day which made it more enjoyable.
We had a brief photo stop at Dunluce Castle and then on to the Giant’s Causeway. The site was quite crowded which made it difficult to photograph, however, there was a great opportunity for detail shots. The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is unique and well worth the hike to and from the car park, and the scenery – is simply stunning!
It was a full 12 hour day and we arrived back tired but happy! It was a very enjoyable day with excellent camaraderie and lots of laughs.
Many thanks to Sylvia for organising the trip and to Mary for deputising.
