Just before we got started the rain arrived and we considered adjourning to a nearby coffee shop to practice our food photography. However, the shower passed quickly and we sauntered along the quays in small groups, photographing everything from seagulls eating lollipops to wall art and even the Viking Splash tour.
Unfortunately, unbeknownst to us, the wreck of the Naomh Eanna was removed last month and has been scrapped, apart from its bow which has been sent to Galway.
Some of the group had been very familiar with the area before its transformation and pointed out the more dramatic changes.
While the sun stayed out, the wind was bitter and we eventually decided to head for coffee, before heading off for Darts and buses, at the end of a very pleasant Saturday morning.
