On Tuesday 12th July, the Midweek Shooters visited the Casino in Marino. We had a good turnout and a very enjoyable and interesting visit.
Our guide Deidre brought the whole Casino to life for us with wonderful details of what makes the Casino such a special and unique building. The incredible proportions of the building, the tromp l’oeils, the 8 tunnels, the special heating systems etc etc.
We were able to see parts rarely shown to visitors and even lie on the floor to get good shots of the ceiling. Dave, with his specialist knowledge of the area chose a great restaurant for Coffee / lunch – another most enjoyable outing. We got some decent shots as well.
