The ground had taken some rain and there was an early morning inspection to see if racing could take place. Fortunately, the inspection was positive and under the sun we journeyed to the Wicklow village of Tinahely where we joined locals and visitors at the Shillelagh & district Point to Point.
The point-to-point track is agricultural land for 51-weeks of a year, before a band of volunteers come together and transform the fields into a temporary racetrack.
The 7 members who went enjoyed the thrills and spills of the day.
