On Saturday 15th April, 8 members of our club assembled at 10:30 am in the car park of Powerscourt House and Gardens. The weather Gods were smiling and blessed us with a warm, sunny morning.
After entering the grounds we fanned out to explore and capture the many and varied photo opportunities before us. Triton Lake with its fountain and wildlife (cormorants, herons and turtles) was a starting point for some. In contrast, others headed straight for the magnificent Japanese Garden with its many flowering cherry trees in full blossom.
All photography styles were catered for within the grounds…. Landscape (wide angle lens), Wildlife (telephoto lens) and Flora (macro lens).
Our visit to Powerscourt concluded with a gathering in the terrace cafe for a welcome tea/coffee/chat, with views of the Sugarloaf in the distance. Great outing for all.
