A bunch of us arrived in the Phoenix Park in the dark and the rain on October 27th to witness this annual gathering of the Fallow Deer for the Rut. The weather miraculously cleared and the sunrise and early morning light was magnificent. The spectacle was enhanced by the largest congregation of deer I have seen in recent years with the stags fighting everywhere. This is an experience that always intrigues and amazes in a beautiful location – and it’s free to all. Thanks to Debbie, Emily, Rob & Stephen for the images.
