It was good to be back last Monday and get to see some of the great shots taken over the summer by everyone. Plenty from the outings, which shows the good work that went into arranging them by our outings team.

This Monday we have a talk and presentation by Aisling O’Rourke. Aisling is a journalist and documentary photographer. Born and raised in the Midlands of Ireland Aisling seeks to give an intimate insight into worlds ordinarily hidden from public view. She works in both visuals and audio and intends to focus more on combining these skills into the future.

Aisling will be talking about “Making space for the decisive moment”. It’s about freeing up the mental space to actually see what’s right in front of us and see that all too elusive “decisive moment” (She’s a Cartier Breson fan.)

It’s all too easy to get so caught up in the act of getting ready for a shoot and ending up snapping away without really thinking.
