Welcome back after the Christmas break. Hope Santa was good to you and you’re ready for another year of photography related action and fun. (Remember the Car Boot Sale we have later in the month if you have some stuff you want to move on - details below.)

Don't forget our first competition is in a couple of week's time. Details are to be found later in this Newsletter.

We have a great programme of activities lined up for the coming months.

With that in mind, on Monday we have a review of the Spring Programme, so you can see what’s coming up. We’ll also look at the images the members took over the Christmas break. So don’t forget to bring your photos along on a USB stick or upload them to https://www.dropbox.com/request/OHofoePcYKs2rYPBCJRN.

2019 Annual Subscription

The annual subscription for 2019 of €90 is now due. Please ensure that you pay by 28th February 2019. Payment can be made by PayPal at https://offshoot.ie/subs or by cash/cheque at the door.

Car Boot Sale

Now that Christmas is over, just a reminder that it’s only a couple of weeks to the CAR BOOT SALE at the club on 21st January. I can’t run this event without your help so I really need to hear from members who have items to sell or even items to give away - the success of this event depends on your participation !!

So don’t delay - check out what you have/what you don’t need or don’t want and get in touch with Helen at bootsale@offshoot.ie.

The first competition for 2019 is Projected Image titled 'Best of 2018' and judging will be held on 28th January with hand-in on the 21st January.

Images can be either B&W or Colour with a maximum of 2 entries per member across all competition levels.

The images must be taken in 2018 and cannot have been previously entered in a club competition. Other than that anything goes.

Images can either be brought to the meeting on a memory stick/card on the 21st January or uploaded to https://www.dropbox.com/request/uALCFkOcipAXUi7oFL7V.

Click&Go Holiday Snaps Competition

Welcome to the inaugural Click&Go Holiday Snaps Competition! We love to travel, to explore new and old destinations and to make memories and capture those perfect moments. We want you to share your best holiday and travel photos with us from the made-for-Instagram locations to the amazing architecture and breathtaking landscapes.

Every 6 weeks, we'll have two new categories for you to enter and we'll announce the winner for the previous two.

Our first two categories #christmasmarkets and #wintersun are open for entries from Dec 13th to January 24th at https://competition.clickandgo.com.
