Shoot With Me Showcase

First, thanks to Helen and all the group leaders and participants for last week’s Shoot With Me Showcase. As usual, it was a great evening and a chance to see the wide range of shots produced by members.

It is clear from last Monday night that the standard and originality has improved year on year. This year's event was an even bigger leap forward.  'Shoot With Me' provides an opportunity and environment to try something you have not tried before, expand your boundaries and benefit from the expertise of your fellow members.  Experimentation is a great way to broaden your experience and sharing your efforts with others benefits all. 

Maybe, for some, it is time to step forward and use the summer to consider leading a group next Autumn.  This has been running for many years now and we have benefited from the diversity that fresh blood and ideas brought to the party.  Already looking forward to 'SWM Autumn 2019'.

This Monday evening is the club quiz night. We will test your photographic and related knowledge, so get swatting now!

Summer BBQ

The Summer BBQ has been booked at the Royal St. George Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire on Monday 24th June - 8.00 p.m. 

Members with special dietary requirements please contact George Balmer at treasurer@offshoot.ie before 17th June.

As usual, we will provide the food and you pay for your drinks.

There are plenty of car-parks around if members chose to drive.

We will ask all members attending to “sign in” when you arrive so we can record the numbers for the bill.

FIAP Distinction Holders Exhibition 2019

The Irish Photographic Federation will hold an exhibition of prints from each of the 27 photographers who have applied for FIAP distinctions this year. The exhibition will open on Saturday 8th June 2019 at 3 pm.

It will take place in the Eddie Chandler Gallery – which is the only FIAP Exhibition Center in Ireland – at 10 Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2.

The exhibition will be on show until 29 June 2019 – and will be open each Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm.
