Weekly Flickr Theme
Hands:
Not all portraits require a face. Look around you, observe the hands of those you meet - what do they look like, are they soft or rough, smooth or textured, those of a young person or those or an older person?
What are they doing - writing, holding a book, playing an instrument, knitting, cradling a baby's head? Think of the story that can be conveyed using hands. Then think about how to capture them.
Black and White can be very effective for images of hands. A shallow depth of field can be used to great effect. Post-processing can enhance the impact of your image, especially the clarity slider, or an HDR filter.
