Weekly Flickr Theme: Recreate A Painting

As photographers, we can learn a lot by studying the art created by the masters through out the ages. Artists have an advantage in that they start with a blank canvas and have the flexibility to exclude distracting elements, simply by not painting them. Photographers have the challenge that their potential image is often filled with distracting elements and their mission is to find a composition which, by clever use of composition, use of tones, depth of field and other ruses, minimize or remove objects which will interfere with the viewers perspective of the final composition.
Try and re-create your favorite painting or create an image in the style of your favorite artist. The image can be classical, contemporary, abstract or experimental.
