Last Monday we all enjoyed the second instalment of the Spring Shoot With Me Showcase. As before our members excelled in their topics and produced some great images. Congratulations and thanks to George and Emily and all the group leaders for their endeavours – once again SWM has proven to be a very popular and successful activity.
Next Monday Night
Peter Gordon is well known to most of us and has been a friend to Offshoot for many years. Next Monday Peter will tell us about how he sets himself up for his photography travels covering Objectives, Planning and Execution. Based on our previous experiences, this will be a valuable and entertaining evening.
Shoot With Me
A message from George and Emily:
During the past two Monday meetings, we enjoyed two excellent showcases from our twelve groups. The variety of themes was a credit to the ingenuity of our group leaders and the work presented by the photographers showed how much they enjoyed the experience. It has been a most unusual SWM this spring. Covid caused us all to seek out somewhat different ways to engage together in projects and we have learned new ways forward, some of which will possibly be used to enhance our future projects.
The number and variety of photographic techniques adopted by our photographers in pursuing their themes were extraordinary. As we listened to their presentations it was clear that many were delving into new programmes, photographic tricks, methods and applications not previously explored and were clearly enjoying themselves. And that, after all, is what SWM is all about.
We repeat our thanks and congratulations to all group leaders, photographers and our fellow club members working “‘behind the scenes” who gave us two most enjoyable evenings. Now are all looking forward to the Autumn SWM Programme.

Learn With Me
Our next Learn With Me will be led by Barry Dillon on 27th May. The subject will be "Photoshop Crash Course - Introduction".
Barry will give an introduction to Photoshop to give you enough knowledge to get started with Photoshop.
Because of the interactive nature of the proposed sessions, it will be necessary to keep numbers low, but we will do our best to fit everyone in. There is still an opportunity to join this session.
