The Theme of the Week
This week's theme is: A different view/vantage point
Most of our photos are taken at the eye level of the photographer, while she/he is standing. But often there is a much more interesting /dramatic shot of the subject to be had by simply changing your point of view. Getting down low makes your subject look taller, and more dominant and can replace the cluttered background with a clear sky background. A birdseye view from above is often unexpected and again changes the background. This viewpoint also changes the form of the subject which can result in a more thought-provoking shot.

Next Club Competition – 'People in Images'
The theme of our next Club Competition is People in Images which you can interpret any way you like as long as there is a person or people in the image. The person/people don’t have to be the subject but can be there for scale, perspective or of course the main subject. Images can be portraits, street, architecture, landscape, mono or colour – it is up to you to have fun with the theme!
For Level 2 and Level 3, the image must have been taken with a 35mm or 50mm full-frame equivalent focal length.
For all levels, to encourage continuous improvement and to get members out taking photos, all images should have been taken within the last year.
As usual please save your images in JPEG format and name them with your Level Number, Membership Number and Image Title:
