Next Monday Night – “Car Boot Sale”
Monday, 20 March we will have our annual “Car Boot Sale” in the school commencing at the usual time. This will provide members with an opportunity to sell any surplus gear which might have accumulated or, on the other hand, to purchase that item you have always wanted at a reasonable price.
So come along and enjoy the trading!
Last Monday Night – Jimmy McDonnell
Last Monday we were treated to two quite different presentations from Jimmy McDonnell from Greystones Camera Club. Firstly, Jimmy gave us a fascinating insight into the world of Infrared Photography supported by a selection of great shots to demonstrate this genre.
As a bonus, Jimmy then presented his panel of wildlife images with which he had successfully achieved his FIPF just a few days earlier. His description of the effort, time and skills employed to capture and present 20 wonderful photographs was very inspiring for all in attendance.
URGENT- Please Collect Your Printed Images
We are under pressure to tidy up our storage unit in the school. We have a significant number of unclaimed images stored in the school. These include prints from the recent competition, the last Shoot With Me showcases and also from earlier events – even before the Covid disruption.
So please come to collect your prints on Monday evening or arrange for another member to collect them on your behalf.
IPF Liaison Role Still to be Filled
We have still got one important position to fill on the Offshoot committee – IPF Liaison. If you would be interested in volunteering for this role, or if you would like some more information about it, please contact any member of the committee as soon as possible.
IPF National Club Competition – Call for Images
The IPF National Club Competition is an annual inter club competition that is open to all clubs that are affiliated to the Irish Photographic Federation.
The competition is held in May and is open to all members of Offshoot to take part. So, if you would like to take part, please start thinking about what images you might like to submit to be considered for the club panel.
Submission details will be advised over the next few weeks.
April Studio Portrait Session
Following the success of the recent event, the Outings Committee are planning to organise another specialist Studio Portrait session in April. Full details will be advised soon. |
