Next Monday Night – Competition Judging on Zoom

Next Monday, 17 April, we will have the judging of our Club Competition on the theme of the “Natural World”. This is a Zoom Meeting. The link details will be sent out separately so please continue to monitor your email.

URGENT- Please Collect Your Printed Images

We are under pressure to tidy up our storage unit in the school. We have a significant number of unclaimed images stored in the school. These include prints from the recent competition, the last Shoot With Me showcases and also from earlier events – even before the Covid disruption.

So please come to collect your prints on Monday evening or arrange for another member to collect them on your behalf.

Plans for the 2023 Club Exhibition Developing

This year’s exhibition will be held between 12 July and 26 August on the fourth floor of the Lexicon in Dun Laoghaire.

We also plan to compile a book of the exhibition images that will be available at the time of the event.

Members may have a maximum of two images each in the exhibition.

A Dropbox link will be sent out to members to upload their images to. Please upload your images in their full size in tiff format – this enables Steve to print your images to best quality.

The images will be printed, mounted and framed by Steve and his company 360dpi.

The closing date for uploaded your images is 12 June 2023.

So now is the time to start thinking about which of your photos you would like to see on display!!

Back-Up Your Files

How do you store your precious image files? Do you have back-ups? How secure are the back-ups? Could a single failure or incident affect all your file copies?

Our photo files contain precious memories, unrepeatable events and many hours of work capturing and processing our images.

When did you last review your back-up arrangements? Do it again now! Talk to other club members about how they secure their files.
