Last Monday – Scott Hurd
Scott Hurd took us again into the enchanted land of Namibia and his life in and around his home in Otjiwarongo. The images of landscapes, lodges, people and wildlife are stunning. Oh that we could enjoy the same simplicity of weather!
His explanations of camera settings and his techniques were illuminating.
Next Monday – Members Critique
Next Monday evening we will meet at St Brigid’s School at 8 pm to meet up and share feedback.
The plan is that you bring 3-4 images along (On your Phone, Tablet or Printed (any size, can be printed at home, at FujiFilm, Harvey Norman or anywhere else) and we will break into small groups to discuss the images. We will move groups around every so often.
So, bring along the images you want to get some feedback on without judgement.
This is a great opportunity to get feedback on your efforts so do bring some images along. We look forward to seeing you on Monday.
IPF Shield Competition
Submissions are now closed and the Committee will organise a sub-committee to select our entrants for this IPF competition.
Thanks to everyone who has already sent images.
Shoot With Me Up and Running
Thanks to the generosity of 10 members who have volunteered to lead SWM Groups, the process is now underway on schedule.
If you have applied to be a member of a Group, you will be contacted by the relevant Group Leader over the next few days to get your activities into action.
If you haven’t joined a group yet select your choice of group to swm@offshoot.ie.
We hope everyone enjoys their SWM experience and look forward to seeing all the great images at the SWM Showcases on 27th November and 4th December.

Visiting Provence?
Are you going near the Camargue and want to shoot horses (sic)?
If you are planning a trip to Provence next year, why not get a photo shoot in the Camargue? We found Cecile Domens brilliant on our recent trip and we have no reservations about recommending her – she is a photographer and has the respect of the horsemen. She also has shoots from 3 hours to 3 days. Her website is https://cecile-domens-photo.com/. |
