Beyond Urgent Call for Club Committee Volunteers
As you know, our Club depends on volunteers to run the Committee and a number of important sub-committees. Without these volunteers, much of our activities could not be undertaken.
Some important positions will become vacant at the end of 2023 as the existing incumbents have served their terms or have indicated their wish to retire. Many thanks to all those who have contributed so well to our busy club schedule.
We now urgently need volunteers to cover at least the following activities:
Treasurer
IPF Coordinator
Outings Committee members
Without additional assistance, the Committee will have to curtail activities during 2024 – not a course of action that is desirable.
So please come forward now and offer your talents to the Club so we can continue to run our full programme next year. Please contact any existing Committee members to discuss your interest – please do it now!
Last Monday
Last Monday, we had the first of the Shoot With Me Showcases from the Autumn SWM. It was an informative and amusing evening and now we know how they get the fig into a fig roll!
We also got to see the panels that took part in the IPF National Shield competition.
Next Monday
Next Monday, we will have the second Shoot With Me Showcases for Autumn. We look forward to seeing the great works and hearing about the adventures of our members.
IPF National Shield Competition Results
The IPF National Shield Competition was held last Saturday in Drogheda.
We came joint second in the colour category, fifth in the mono category, and fifth overall. It was a great result for the club. Well done everyone. The panels and the reserve images are below.
A huge thank you to all our members who very kindly submitted images for consideration, the standard was very high.
Massive thanks to Matt O’Brien and his team of selectors for the phenomenal efforts they put into the selection process.
Many thanks to Steve for his printing and mounting skills.
 
 
Annual General Meeting – 11th December
The AGM will be held in the school on Monday 11th December 2023 at 8 pm.
Please put the date in your calendar – full attendance is important for the good governance of Offshoot.
Please send any Motions you may have to our club secretary by December 3rd.
Christmas Party – 18th December
Our Christmas Party will be held in the Horse and Hound, Cabinteely, on Monday 18th December at 8pm – another important date for your calendar. |
