Next Monday – Landscape Photography

Next Monday evening, Kevin Foley will present to the club on Landscape Photography. This is a genre that many of us enjoy so come along and be inspired!

Update on the Club Exhibition

The changeover of members’ images has now been completed at our Club Exhibition at Deansgrange Library. They will remain in place until the end of May. It is good to report that we have received many complimentary comments about our images from members of the public and from the staff of the library!

Final note: Would members who have not yet paid for their exhibition prints please do so as soon as possible.

 Outing to Historic Military Display – 18 May

A living history weekend will take place at the Irish Military Museum and Park in Co Meath on the weekend of 18 May. It will cover the Napoleonic War, World War 1 and World War 2.

There will be people dressed in the uniforms of all the relevant armies who will be putting on displays for attendees. There will also be a large amount of memorabilia on show.

It opens at 10.30am and the entrance cost is €10 with no pre-booking necessary. Further information on the Irish Military Museum and Park available  Here 

The Outings Committee are proposing that members meet at 10.30am in the museum carpark.

Next Club Competition – Theme “Dereliction”

The next club competition will be on the theme of Dereliction. You can interpret this in any way you like as long as something is falling apart and neglected in the image.

As usual, please save your images in JPEG format and name them with your Level Number, Membership Number and Image Title in the following format:

Please Note: This is a projected competition for all levels.

You may submit up to 2 images to this link 

The latest date for uploading your images is Monday 10th of June, with judging scheduled for Monday 17th of June.

The remaining competition themes for this year are: 

   Mono - September 

   Open - November
